About the role
Fibreglass Victoria, a leading manufacturer of custom fibreglass products, is seeking a talented Fibreglass Laminator/Boat Builder to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is based in our facility in Bayswater North, VIC, where you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality fibreglass products.
What you'll be doing
- Laminate and construct luxury yacht components, cooling towers, ponds, water features, hot rods, classic cars, architectural panels, planters, vac bodies and other complex fibreglass components using specialised techniques
- Prepare and clean moulds, apply gel coats, and lay-up fibreglass matting and fabrics
- Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools to shape, trim, and finish fibreglass parts
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a fibreglass laminator or boat builder, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing process
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in the fibreglass industry
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing production requirements
- A commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- A passion for producing high-quality, precision-engineered fibreglass products
