Position Overview
3DM Ventures Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Head Chef to join its professional kitchen team in Geelong. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in all kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- preparing and cooking food
- explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- may select and train staff
- may freeze and preserve foods
Requirements
· Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Chef
· Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
· Diploma of Hospitality Management
· Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
· Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
· Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality service
