Au2mate Australia are seeking interest from qualified Automation Engineer to work closely with the Project Manager for project and programme related tasks including budget control, progress reports and forecasting.
This is a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
· Reviewing project programme & engineering resource requirements
· Reporting to the Project Manager for project & programme related tasks including budget control, progress reports & forecasting
· Reviewing Client Specification, Tender Proposal and post tender correspondence
· Reviewing the P&IDs to include all electrical details and tags as described in the Client Specification.
· Developing and elaborating an automation solution design that meets the Specification requirements, project budget and project schedule.
· Finalizing the configuration of the control system including PLC and the HMI/SCADA system.
· Finalizing other automation options such as distributed I/O and/or control field bus networks etc.
· Compiling the electrical/automation programme including design, installation and commissioning tasks. Hand over to the Project Manager for inclusion in the master programme.
· Ensuring all automation designs implemented comply with UL508A, Code of Practice, Client Electrical Standards and any other regulatory requirements.
· Participating in design reviews and safety risk assessments
· Managing automation activities on site for installation, commissioning and performance testing phases
About you:
· You will have Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 5 years of related automation experience OR a High School Diploma and a minimum of 7years of experience in a related automation position required
· You will have previous experiences in the food or dairy industry preferred
· You will have the ability to program PLC processors (Allen Bradley, Siemens preferred)
· You will have the ability to program HMI systems (i.e. Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, PanelView, etc.)
· You will have working experience with Microsoft Office
· You will have basic skills and troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic systems
· You will have strong, positive oral and written communication skills both internally and with customers
· You are willing to travel 30-40% to customer sites for start-up/commissioning

Pay: $100,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
