What You'll Do
This is a senior leadership role with broad organisational influence. As Director, Built Assets and Projects, you will lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of RBGV's built assets, infrastructure and project portfolio. Working closely with the Executive and senior leaders, you will ensure asset planning, capital delivery, infrastructure services and governance support organisational priorities now and into the future. Your key accountabilities include:

Leading the planning, oversight and delivery of built assets, infrastructure, facilities, emergency management and capital projects across both Melbourne and Cranbourne.

Strengthening project governance and execution, while guiding long-term asset planning and infrastructure investment priorities

Building strong team leadership, accountability and a service-focused culture.

Providing strategic advice on asset management, capital priorities, service performance, risk and future direction.

Managing significant budgets and key partner relationships to ensure value and alignment with organisational objectives.
You will play a central role in improving how the organisation plans, manages and delivers its built environment, ensuring essential services, infrastructure and projects support better outcomes for staff, visitors, research and operations.

Significant senior leadership experience across built assets, infrastructure, facilities, capital works, projects or asset management functions

The ability to align strategic priorities with operational delivery and achieve sound commercial and operational outcomes.

Experience leading change, building capability and strengthening team performance

The ability to strengthen project governance, delivery discipline and execution across complex portfolios

Well-developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to provide trusted advice on complex matters
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience are essential. Experience in asset management frameworks, project methodologies and public-facing and/or multi-site environments will be highly regarded.
