Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia’s largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.
Based in Tatura, you will join the Water Systems Operations team located within Water Delivery Services division. This ongoing position will deliver outstanding service to our customers and ensure the seamless operation of our water delivery system. Your alert oversight of the irrigation network will maintain supply levels, manage flow rates, and swiftly address any customer supply concerns. Your vigilance will also safeguard our network assets.
The role requires someone who can work flexibly within a roster and can be available for additional shifts at short notice. If you're a problem-solver with a proactive mindset, well organised and eager to make a tangible impact in water management, we would love to hear from you.
Customer Servicing: Handle and oversee the end-to-end delivery of irrigation orders, maintaining the high standards set out in GMW's customer charter.
Network Control: Monitor our irrigation (SCADA) network via alerts and dashboards, troubleshooting issues and ensuring system integrity.
Relationship Building: Forge strong connections with customers, offering education and swift resolution to service issues.
Proactive Response: Monitor operational heath of our assets, maintenance needs, and environmental alerts, taking action to keep our service running smoothly.
Team Player: Collaborate to meet team goals, ready to take on tasks or work independently as needed.
No experience is required, but some of these skills would be advantageous:
- Understanding of water management system software (e.g. IPM, SCADA, SPM, Waterline).
- Understanding of the gravity and pumped distribution network.
- Exhibit knowledge of customer charter and customer service requirements.
- Work across a wide geographic range of water systems and asset types
