This is an administrative role suited to someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong focus on accuracy. Working within a deadline-driven environment, you will work closely with managers across our NDIS service sites throughout regional Victoria and South Australia to ensure claims meet NDIS compliance standards. Based in our Shepparton office, this role plays an important part in supporting NDIS participants.
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a similar or related role

You will receive full training to help you gain all the knowledge and skills required to become an NDIS Claims Officer, however there are a few skills which great NDIS Claims Officer possess:
- They are engaging and a people-person, one that takes personal responsibility for their own work, who acts with initiative and sound judgement and assists others.
- They are resilient, things don’t always go to plan – when this happens, they are able to put challenges aside and keep moving forward.
They possess a sound understanding of NDIS funding, claims processing, compliance requirements, and supporting documentation (highly desirable but not essential).
- They have solid administration skills, computer literate and have a strong attention to detail. This role is 90% administration.
- They’re innovative and will engage with local employers, creating job opportunities which may not have otherwise existed.
- They excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including skills of analysing and reporting data, and the ability to work in partnership with relevant staff to achieve program objectives.
- High level of professionalism in organising work and time-management. Ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes for the role.
- Strong people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff and client groups.
