Barista wanted. Monday to Friday. No weekends, no nights.
That's the headline, and it's real. We're a Southbank café built around breakfast and house-made focaccias, and we're closed weekends. If you're tired of giving up your Saturdays, read on.
The hours
- Monday to Friday only — closed weekends
- Daytime shifts, [e.g. 6:30am–2:30pm]
- No dinner service, no split shifts
- 5 days per week, roster set
- Every weekend off, permanently
You're on the machine for most of the day, but this is a small venue and everyone does a bit of everything. Some days that means running the floor when it's three deep, some days it means plating a focaccia because the kitchen's buried. If the idea of only ever standing behind an espresso machine appeals more than that, we're probably not the right fit.
What you'll do
- Make consistently good coffee, all day, at volume
- Dial in and maintain the grinder, and keep the machine clean and cared for
- Serve customers, take orders and handle the till
- Learn our regulars — most of them we know by name and order
- Plate and run food, clear and reset tables
- Help with prep, restocking, opening and close-down
