Abra Events is a growing event hire, styling and installation company based in Tullamarine.
We’re looking for hardworking, reliable and motivated Event Crew Members to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across weddings, corporate events and private functions throughout Melbourne.
No two events are the same, so we’re looking for someone who is practical, adaptable and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in events, event hire, warehousing, hospitality, construction, removals or a similar industry is preferred but not essential. We’re more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
About the Role
You’ll work as part of our event crew assisting with deliveries, installations, styling and pack-downs.
Your day-to-day work may include:
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Delivering equipment to venues
- Setting up furniture, décor and event equipment
- Assisting with event styling and installations
- Assisting with bump-in and bump-out
- Packing down events and returning equipment to the warehouse
- Working safely and carefully with event equipment
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
- Assisting the team wherever needed

- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends when required
- Current driver's licence
Experience & Skills
Previous experience is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided to the right person.
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Event hire or event installation
- Event styling
- Draping
- Warehouse operations
- Furniture or décor installation
- Floral installations
- Staging or truss
- Dance floor installation
- Forklift operation
- Truck drivingCreativity and an eye for styling are a bonus.

You don't need to know everything about events — we're happy to teach the right person. What matters is that you're reliable, hardworking, willing to learn and able to think for yourself.
