Genesis Minerals is a leading Australian gold producer with operations centred in the tier-one Leonora gold district of Western Australia. Our vision is to build the premium Australian gold miner — progressive, high quality and +500koz per annum.
As Genesis continues its strong growth trajectory, we are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Manager Reward & HR Systems to join our People & Culture leadership team in our Perth Corporate Office.
Reporting to the GM People & Culture, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for Reward, HR Systems and Payroll Governance across the organisation. The role combines strategic oversight with operational leadership to ensure Genesis delivers contemporary reward frameworks, optimised HR technology solutions and compliant payroll governance practices that support business performance and growth.
About the Role
This is a highly influential role leading the organisation’s reward strategy, performance and remuneration cycles, HR systems environment and payroll governance framework.
You will oversee the effective operation and continuous improvement of Workday and related integrations, while partnering with leaders across the business to deliver data-driven people solutions, remuneration insights and operational excellence.
Leading a specialist team and managing key external providers, you will play a critical role in shaping scalable people systems and frameworks to support Genesis through its next phase of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the company’s annual reward calendar and remuneration activities, including STI, LTI, GPV and bonus frameworks
- Manage company-wide salary reviews, benchmarking, remuneration analysis and market competitiveness initiatives
- Oversee the end-to-end performance management process and integration with remuneration outcomes
- Lead the preparation and coordination of the Annual Remuneration Report
- Drive the optimisation, governance and continuous improvement of Workday HRIS and associated integrations
- Lead HR systems projects, automation initiatives and process improvement activities
- Oversee payroll governance, compliance and payroll quality assurance processes across the business
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers
- Develop meaningful workforce reporting, analytics and insights to support business decision-making
- Lead, coach and develop a small specialist Reward & HR Systems team
Contribute to broader People & Culture strategic initiatives and organisational planning

About You
You are an experienced Reward and HR Systems leader who combines technical expertise with strong commercial judgement, stakeholder engagement capability and a continuous improvement mindset.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading Reward, HR Systems and/or broader HR Operations functions within the mining or resources sector
- Strong knowledge of remuneration frameworks, salary review processes, incentive programs and benefits administration
- Experience managing HRIS platforms, ideally Workday, including integrations and system enhancement initiatives
- Sound understanding of payroll governance, compliance and payroll quality controls
- Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
