About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and obtain experience working as a Project Administrator in the Courts & Prosecution Services Division (CPSD) of Legal Services, Victoria Police. Legal Services provides legal services and advice to support policing, courts, and the Victorian community. Legal Services is led by an Executive Director (who is also the organisation's General Counsel) and employs over 800 staff spread across four divisions – the Office of the Executive Director; the Specialist Legal and Litigation Division; the Courts & Prosecution Services Division; and the Legal Business Operations Division.
As the successful applicant, you will be a part of a small, dedicated team that forms the Disclosure Support Unit (DSU) within the Disclosure Group, Legal Services. The DSU manages the Central Brief Storage System (CBSS) Disclosure Service - a brief-sharing model between Victoria Police and legal practitioners across Victoria.
This role will support the CBSS Disclosure Service and provide business application support as required. You will be required to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a cross-section of both internal and external stakeholders.

Your duties will include:

Respond to Brief of Evidence disclosure requests from Victorian legal practitioners

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key personnel across business units, Commands and Divisions as well as other police and Government agencies

Provide business application support to internal and external stakeholders

Report on the progress of assigned tasks, to ensure service delivery targets and key milestones are achieved

Other duties and involvement in Disclosure Group initiatives and activities as directed

The salary range for a VPS3 role is $81,496 to $98,207 (covering salary ranges VPSG3.1 and VPSG3.2). Although it is standard practice for selected candidates to commence at the base of the salary range, genuine consideration will be given to a commencement salary within the available range that is commensurate with the successful candidate's knowledge, skills and experiences. This will be subject to negotiations with the Hiring Manager in the course of the selection process and may include the provision of evidence of a higher income and/or supporting documentation (as required).

As a member of the Legal Services Department you will be located, on selection, at a specific office within a Division for a particular advertised opportunity. However, given occasional legal service demand issues you may be required at times to undertake varied work within the Department.
