We're looking for an organised, reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Administration Officer to join our team and take ownership of key supplier account and finance administration functions within the business.
About The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on supplier reconciliations, supplier credits, supplier returns, customer refunds and general accounts administration.
You will work closely with suppliers, management and our external accountants to ensure financial records remain accurate, supplier accounts are reconciled correctly and outstanding issues are followed through to completion.
This role would suit someone who enjoys organisation, problem solving and maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and accounts payable transactions
- Manage supplier returns, credits and claims
- Track outstanding supplier credits and discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve account variances
- Process customer refunds
- Reconcile bank transactions and account balances in Xero
- Liaise with suppliers regarding account queries
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end reconciliation processes
- Support management with finance administration and reporting
- General administration duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, finance administration or a similar role
- Experience using Xero
- Experience performing account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and team members
- The ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
- A desire to build a long-term career within a growing stable business
Highly Regarded
- Supplier account reconciliation experience
- Accounts payable experience
- Bookkeeping experience
- Retail, wholesale, eCommerce or logistics industry experience
- Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience managing supplier credits, claims or returns
