About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for rebuilding and testing machine mechanisms, attending mechanical breakdowns, maintenance and supporting production changeovers as well as installing new machinery and equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Rebuild, assemble, and test machine mechanisms to ensure reliable operation
- Attend mechanical breakdowns and assist the team with fault finding and repairs
- Assist with installing, modifying new equipment and machinery
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
- Work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping
Hours of Work
- Day shift position
- A certain amount of Flexibility is required, to meet production and operational requirements
Essential Requirements
- Hold a recognised Australian trade qualification (Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
- Full Australian work rights with no visa restrictions
- Ability to successfully pass a police check
- Willingness to undertake and pass drug & alcohol testing and medical assessments
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or recycling is an advantage but not essential
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
