The Head of Product Development - Product Architecture role at Origin Energy is a senior leadership position focused on creating and scaling Origin's next-generation residential energy products. The role owns the full product lifecycle-from strategy and product design through launch, growth, and optimization. It also leads product teams and works closely with technology, marketing, operations, finance, and customer experience functions.
Key responsibilities
Design and execute Origin's residential product architecture.
Develop customer-focused products in areas such as electrification, solar, batteries, EVs, and flexible energy solutions.
Lead commercial evaluation, investment decisions, and business cases.
Ensure regulatory compliance and product governance.
Build and lead a high-performing product development team.
Influence senior executives on product strategy and portfolio decisions.
Skills and experience sought
Extensive product management and product development leadership experience.
Strong commercial acumen, including P&L and investment case management.
Experience scaling products in large organizations.
Executive stakeholder management and communication skills.
Background in energy, technology, telecommunications, financial services, or digital products is highly regarded.
