Salary range: $68,471 to $72,059 p.a. (CA3)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity:
As a Diet Assistant, you will support the provision of nutritional care for patients at Townsville Univeristy Hospital through menu selection and completion and the monitoring of nutrition in accordnace with prescribed guidelines and established procedures. Working closely with Nutrition and Dietetics staff, you will ocnduct bedside electronic menu collection, provide advice on menu items and ensure patients menu choices are suitable for prescribed diets. You will also support meal and nutritional supplement delivery, monitor patient intake and provide feedback to Dietitians in accordance with established protocols.
The role contributes to timely and safe meal provision through menu preparation, food order management, administrative duties, meal tray accuracy checks and system updates for special diets.
Requirements:
Certifcate III in Health Assistant (Nutrition and Dietetics Support) or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance would be well regarded.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Probation period may apply.
