Due to business expansion, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
The roles for the vacant position include but are not limited to:
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
· Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake servicing, and tune-ups.
· Repair and replace engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering components, and other vehicle parts.
· Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs.
· Assemble and reinstall engine and mechanical components following repair, maintenance, and overhaul work, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications
· Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
· Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
· Keep the workshop clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
- Relevant Certificate IV qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or
- Diagnosis.
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Experience operating computer-based diagnostic systems to identify and troubleshoot vehicle faults.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
