About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised Accommodation Officers to join our Accommodation Services team and play a key role in delivering accommodation services across the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a worldclass sporting event, supporting a diverse range of tournament stakeholders including Players, Media, Umpires, and Official Tournament Guests. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will ensure all tournament stakeholders have a seamless and professional experience.
Reporting to the Tournament Services Lead, you will become part of a collaborative, supportive team that thrives on teamwork, excellence and delivering exceptional services for the Australian Open and Summer of Tennis.
This is a Full-time, Max Term-Agreement until January/February 2027 based in Melbourne with interstate travel for Summer of Tennis events. Commencement dates are in August, October, and November 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Process and confirm accommodation bookings across multiple tournament stakeholder groups.
Manage accommodation requests and maintain accurate booking records.
Liaise with tournament hotel suppliers to coordinate accommodation requirements and ensure service delivery expectations are met.
Prepare and analyse accommodation reports, including rooming lists, room release reports and post-event reporting.
Support the administration and maintenance of accommodation booking systems, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on accommodation requests and booking status.
Reconcile accommodation-related charges and invoices following tournament delivery.
Provide general administrative support to the Tournament Services Lead and broader Tournament Services team as required.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Experience in hotel reservations, front office operations and accommodation services.
Minimum of 3 year’s experience working in hotel front office.
Experience coordinating accommodation for large-scale sporting, entertainment, corporate or major events.
Experience using accommodation booking platforms, particularly MeetingMax (highly regarded).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and cultures.
Additional language skills (desirable).
Knowledge of, or an interest in, tennis and major sporting events (desirable).
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends and interstate travel when required.
A collaborative approach and commitment to contributing positively within a team environment.
