Roselands Dental Practice is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly, professional team in either a part-time or full-time position.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys both clinical and administrative work. There is the opportunity for the successful applicant to work up to two days per week on reception, making this a varied and rewarding role within a supportive team.
We are seeking someone who is confident, reliable, proactive and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
About You
You will:
- Have extensive chairside experience in Australian dental practices
- Speak fluent, professional English with excellent verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Have strong Dental4Windows (D4W) knowledge (essential)
- Have previous dental reception experience, including appointment scheduling, patient enquiries and treatment coordination (essential)
- Be confident communicating with patients both in person and over the phone
- Be well presented, organised and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Work well independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Take initiative and maintain a high standard of professionalism at all times
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Chairside assisting across a wide range of dental procedures
- Infection control and sterilisation
- Preparing surgeries and supporting efficient clinical workflows
- Reception duties including:
- Answering phones
- Booking appointments
- Processing payments
- Managing recalls and patient communication
- Treatment coordination and scheduling
- Coordinating laboratory work
- Supporting dentists and the wider clinical team
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Dental Assistant in an Australian dental practice
- Previous dental reception experience
- Strong working knowledge of Dental4Windows (D4W)
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a genuine team-first approach
Highly Regarded
- Experience assisting with implants
- Experience assisting with orthodontics
- Knowledge of Invisalign workflows
- Experience with treatment coordination
