The Nurse Manager - Child and Family Health (CFHN) provides strategic and operational leadership across Healthy Kids and Families within PCH, overseeing the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services to children and families. This role leads and supports multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and coordinated care, with a strong focus on early intervention, prevention, and improved developmental and health outcomes. The position is critical in managing service demand, reducing waitlists, and ensuring effective patient flow, including facilitating discharge pathways and strengthening links between hospital and community care. By driving clinical governance, workforce capability, and service improvement initiatives, the Nurse Manager plays a key role in delivering consistent, equitable care and achieving positive outcomes for families across the service, making a meaningful impact at both a team and system level.
Are You the Right Fit?
The ideal candidate for the Nurse Manager Child and Family Health role within Healthy Kids and Families is a highly experienced and motivated nursing leader with strong clinical knowledge in child and family health and community-based care. They will demonstrate proven leadership and management capability, including experience in workforce planning, service delivery, and operational oversight within a complex health environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and health services to support coordinated care and patient flow. They will be skilled in clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management, with a strong commitment to delivering safe, equitable, and evidence-based care. Key attributes include resilience, adaptability, sound decision-making, and the ability to support and develop staff, drive service improvements, and respond to changing service demands, ensuring positive outcomes for children, families, and the broader community.
