Guest Services Agent – Full Time
Quest Penrith | Front Office
Love hospitality, enjoy meeting people and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same?
We’re looking for a Full-Time Guest Services Agent to join our Front Office team at Quest Penrith.
This is more than a reception role. You’ll be at the centre of the guest experience — welcoming guests, managing reservations, solving problems, assisting with conferencing and events, and helping our hotel run smoothly every day.
And yes, we’re pet-friendly too, so being an animal lover definitely helps!
About Quest Penrith
Located in the heart of Penrith, just a short walk from Penrith Railway Station and Westfield Penrith, Quest Penrith is a busy 115-apartment hotel catering to corporate travellers, long-stay guests, leisure travellers, groups and events.
We’re proud of the energetic and diverse team we’ve built. We work hard, support one another and genuinely care about creating memorable experiences for our guests.
We’re now looking for a hungry, humble and smart individual who wants to become an important part of that team.
For someone with the right attitude and drive, there will also be opportunities to cross-train, take on additional responsibilities and progress into future leadership positions.
The Role
As a Guest Services Agent, you’ll be involved in all aspects of Front Office operations, including:
- Welcoming guests and delivering warm, personalised customer service
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
- Responding to phone, email and accommodation enquiries
- Creating and managing reservations
- Understanding individual guest requirements and finding the right solutions
- Promoting and selling our apartments, services and facilities
- Handling guest requests, feedback and queries professionally
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate guest accounts
- Supporting daily Front Office administration and hotel operations
- Assisting with our conference and events spaces
- Working closely with Housekeeping, Management and other departments
- Helping create a smooth and enjoyable experience from reservation through to departure
It’s a hands-on role in a busy hotel, so no two days are the same. You’ll quickly develop into a confident hospitality all-rounder.
About You
Experience in hotels or Front Office is certainly an advantage, but attitude, personality and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
- Are friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with guests
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Can remain calm and solutions-focused when things get busy
- Have strong attention to detail
- Are organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Take pride in your personal presentation and professionalism
- Are commercially minded and comfortable promoting and selling accommodation
- Are eager to learn, improve and take on responsibility
- And, ideally, don't mind welcoming the occasional four-legged guest!
Availability & Requirements
This is a full-time position working across a rotating roster.
You must have flexibility to work various shifts between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and public holidays where required.
Required:
Highly desirable:
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Previous hotel, Front Office or customer service experience
What We Offer
Joining Quest Penrith means becoming part of an established Australian accommodation brand while working within a close-knit hotel team.
You’ll receive:
- Full on-the-job training and support
- Corporate uniform
- Quest staff accommodation benefits
- Family and friends' accommodation rates across the Quest network
- Team incentives and recognition
- Staff celebrations and team events
- Cross-training opportunities across hotel operations
- Genuine opportunities for internal progression
For the right person, this position can be the beginning of a much bigger hospitality career, with potential pathways into Front Office Management, Housekeeping Management, Sales, Operations and future Hotel Leadership roles.
We strongly believe in developing our own people and prioritising internal progression wherever possible.
