Pennant Hills High School is a large, coeducational, comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 1,086 students, including 31% from non-English speaking backgrounds and thirteen students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. There are academically selected classes in Stage 4. The school has a proud tradition of high achievement in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits, and there is a broad curriculum choice across all stages. Extensive curriculum enrichment programs ensure high levels of student engagement. Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and implement quality Creative and Performing Arts teaching and learning programs aligned with the NSW curriculum, differentiated to meet diverse student needs.
Proven experience in promoting evidence-informed teaching practices, and leading ongoing evaluation to drive continuous improvement in student progress, achievement, and wellbeing.
Demonstrated strategic leadership skills combined with outstanding organisational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration and teamwork within a dynamic educational environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead whole school initiatives, working collaboratively with staff, students, and the wider school community to build innovative arts programs, manage resources effectively, and advocate for the value of Creative and Performing Arts within the school’s educational framework.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
