Act as first point of contact for Office of Fair Trading (OFT) counter, telephone, and email enquiries.
Provide accurate and relevant information and advice to clients and consumers about OFT's legislation, services, policies, procedures, forms, fees etc.
Conciliate complaints between consumers and traders.
Undertake searches of OFT databases and issue official certificates and permits.
Receipt monies in accordance with relevant government legislation and associated policies and procedures.
Process forms relating to OFT regional business, undertake retrievals and filing, and provide general administrative assistance and other support as required.
Contribute to the OFTs community and industry education and engagement activities.
Undertake proactive compliance inspections of less complex trading environments and assist with investigations into possible breaches of OFT legislation.
Prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation.
Support and assist other OFT officers in the conduct of their duties.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of OFT legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
