Working directly with the Website Content Lead and liaising with the Digital Experience Lead, this is your opportunity to lead and influence how Banyule connects with over 130,000 residents through digital content.
About the role
As our Website Content Advisor , you’ll take the lead in shaping Council’s digital content experience bringing together content strategy, user messaging experience (UX), accessibility and governance, primarily for Council’s corporate website and its suite of online forms. You’ll work across the organisation to deliver high-quality, consistent and user-centred digital content that helps people find what they need, when they need it and understand what to do to achieve their needs
From content design and information architecture to analytics and usability testing, you’ll drive improvements that make our website more intuitive, inclusive and effective.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead digital content projects (small to large) and improvement initiatives
- Develop and refine website content strategy and governance
- Translate analytics and user insights into practical improvements
- Design content structures, navigation and page layouts
- Champion accessibility, usability and plain language principles
- Create relationships with Council’s teams during continuous improvement of their content
About you/what you’ll bring
You’re a strategic thinker and hands-on content expert who understands how digital content, UX and accessibility come together. You bring:
- Experience in website content design, UX and content governance
- Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG)
- Ability to turn complex information into clear, user-friendly content
- Experience using analytics and research to improve outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, multi-team communication and influencing skills
- Confidence working across multiple projects and priorities
Experience with Granicus OpenCities and Forms & Workflow will be highly regarded.
What we offer:
- A permanent full-time position with a monthly RDO
- Flexible work and leave arrangements
- Salary from $101,202.68 - $110,025.50 per annum plus super (dependent on experience)
- 26 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/4 weeks of paid parental leave - partner
