About the Role
CV Services is looking for a practical, mechanically minded Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our busy workshop, supporting the maintenance and fit-out of our large company fleet comprising 400+ vehicles, plant and equipment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working around vehicles, tools, and general mechanical work, and who can work independently once trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs under guidance and supervision from our fleet mechanics
- Install roof racks, toolboxes and vehicle accessories
- Change locks and complete minor vehicle repairs and modifications
- Carry out basic wiring tasks (including beacon installs)
- Support fleet preparation and vehicle set-ups
- Work independently once tasks are understood
Assist in stores and storage areas as required

About You
- Mechanically minded with a strong interest in vehicles
- Auto Electrical experience advantageous nut not essential
- Must hold a current, unrestricted manual driver’s licence
- Comfortable using hand tools and carrying out light mechanical tasks
- Able to work unsupervised once trained
- Reliable, practical, and willing to help where needed
Forklift licence, HR licence and/or MR licence advantageous but not essential
