About the Role
As the Assistant Venue Manager, you will work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue. You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high operational standards, growing sales, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Venue Manager in all aspects of venue operations
- Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Crew Members
- Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences
- Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and team engagement
- Manage labour costs and roster planning
- Ensure food safety and venue compliance standards are met
- Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Support the execution of parties, functions, and special events
- Analyse venue performance and assist in achieving revenue targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, entertainment, retail, or leisure management
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience with food and beverage operations is highly regarded
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- A hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people
