Chemical Blender / Production Operator

Salty Captain is a fast-growing Australian manufacturing business producing cleaning and maintenance products for the marine, automotive, 4WD, RV, and home markets. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Chemical Blender / Production Operator to join our production team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role responsible for blending chemical products, operating production equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth day-to-day manufacturing operations.
The successful applicant will play a key role in keeping production running efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Blending and mixing chemical products according to batch formulations
- Operating and monitoring mixing tanks and blending equipment
- Running and supporting bottle filling and production lines
- Organising and maintaining raw material and chemical storage areas
- Receiving and handling chemical deliveries
- Inventory management and stock control
- Forklift operation for movement of pallets, raw materials, and finished goods
- Completing production records and quality control documentation
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Assisting with production scheduling and workflow management
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Current Forklift Licence
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to follow procedures and batch formulations accurately
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
- Previous experience as a Chemical Blender or Production Operator
- Experience working within manufacturing, chemical, food, or liquid production environments
- Experience using inventory management systems
- Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures

Additional remuneration may be available for candidates with strong mechanical or maintenance experience.
