I'm a Melbourne-based bridal and evening wear designer with over 20 years in the industry and my own label. As my business grows, I'm looking for a talented Machinist to work alongside me from my home studio in Melbourne's western suburbs.
This isn't just a job. I'm looking for someone who genuinely loves what they do and takes pride in their craft.
About the Role
You'll be working closely with me, sharing the workload across bridal and evening wear construction using specialty and delicate fabrics. It's a hands-on, collaborative role in a small, passionate environment.
Hours
- 2–3 days per week
- Flexible start between 9:00–10:00am, finish between 5:00–6:00pm
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Machinist in bridal, evening wear, or formal garment construction
- Confident working with specialty fabrics (chiffon, satin, lace, tulle, etc.)
- Solid hand finishing skills
- A genuine passion for the craft and attention to detail
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Available 2–3 days per week consistently
