## Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Engineering Professional to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of complex technical projects across a range of disciplines. This role suits a motivated and detail-oriented engineer with broad technical expertise, capable of working across multidisciplinary environments and managing competing project demands. ## Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to monitor the progress of active projects, verify task completion, and ensure all deliverables are tracking in line with established goals and project milestones
- Oversee the full scope of large-scale engineering projects, evaluating individual team members' contributions and maintaining accountability across all phases of delivery
- Partner with project management teams to provide technical guidance and support throughout the design, development, and construction phases of each project
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering material supply, labour requirements, and resource allocation, ensuring all expenditure aligns with agreed project budgets
- Identify potential technical, environmental, and operational risks associated with project scope, and develop mitigation strategies to address concerns proactively
- Produce comprehensive written documentation including project timelines, impact assessments, requests for proposals, and stakeholder or public-facing reports
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant Australian federal, state, and local regulations, as well as applicable industry standards and codes of practice
- Apply engineering principles to the research, analysis, and resolution of technical problems, utilising specialist knowledge to inform sound decision-making
- Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and technical drawings to confirm accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to communicate technical information clearly and maintain strong working relationships
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, methodologies, and outcomes across engineering functions
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of project data, test results, calculations, and correspondence in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements
## Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Acoustic, Mechatronic, Product Design, or a related discipline) from a recognised Australian or international institution
- Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia or a relevant professional engineering body
- Demonstrated experience in an engineering role, with the ability to manage technical projects from initiation through to completion
- Strong proficiency in engineering analysis, modelling, and design tools relevant to the field of specialisation
- Sound understanding of Australian standards, workplace health and safety legislation, and environmental regulations
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical reports, proposals, and documentation for diverse audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to assessing risk and developing practical solutions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and engaging with external stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all technical and administrative work
## Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualifications or a Graduate Certificate in a relevant engineering discipline or project management
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or active progress towards chartership through Engineers Australia
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing projects within an Australian context
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) platforms or advanced simulation and modelling software
- Experience engaging with regulatory bodies, local councils, or government agencies on technical compliance matters
- Exposure to sustainability frameworks, environmental impact assessment processes, or green engineering principles
