About the Role
The ReSet Parenting Service supports parents and carers in custody to strengthen their parenting skills, maintain positive family connections, and build confidence in their parenting role. As part of the ReSet Consortium, led by Wungening Aboriginal Corporation, the service delivers individual support and parenting programs across Perth metropolitan prisons, helping to improve outcomes for children, families and communities.
As Parenting Educator, you will provide parenting education and support to parents in custody through individual sessions and group programs. Using a strengths-based, culturally responsive approach, you will help parents develop positive parenting strategies, strengthen relationships with their children, and support their successful reintegration into family and community life.
About You:

Recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, Psychology, Social Sciences or related disciplines.

Experience delivering parenting programs or services.

Experience in both group facilitation and provision of one-to-one supports.

Ability to communicate effectively and support a range of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Demonstrated ability to be part of a team, contributing towards quality service delivery and positive client outcomes.

Ability to obtain a Justice Screening Clearance prior to commencement of employment.

Current driver's licence and own vehicle.
