Back Of House Pizza Maker
Manoush and Co Padstow is currently seeking a positive individual with excellent communication skills in the capacity of pizza maker and all-rounder to join our popular pizzeria & bake house at Padstow location.
Role Requires:
- Preparing and cooking a variety of baked goods such as pizzas, wraps and other food items to a high standard
- Multi-tasking with team members to ensure efficiency
- Customer service duties such as Meet and greet customers on the phone and in person whilst taking their orders, menu item recommendation and handling customer concerns
- Processing payments: cash and EFTPOS
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
- Assisting with general kitchen duties and supporting the team as needed
- Delivering consistent quality and presentation in all food items
Successful candidates will:
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy Kitchen
- Responsible, reliable, pro-active, passionate and dedicated to the industry
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability in compliance with all food authority requirements including safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- At times happy to work on the floor as a waiter in addition to their role as per business need
This position is a –38 hours per week on a 7-rotating roster. Starting hours sometimes include early morning shift from 7:00am onwards. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years relevant work experience working in a commercial kitchen and have relevant food handling certification.
The rate of pay is the award rate according Restaurant Industry Award 2020.
