The Sisters of Our Lady of China Health Care, trading as OLC Care, has been providing high quality aged care services since 1983. We have extensive experience and a solid reputation in the aged care industry.
Our group administrates five residential aged care facilities across Sydney metropolitan area.
We are searching for an energetic permanent full time Registered Nurse (Aged Care) at our Aged Care Facility Alkira Gardens in Sydney.
Annual Base Salary $90,000 - $95,000 (Plus Superannuation)
Responsibilities:
- To act as clinical consultant and team leader for personal and health/ clinical care matters.
- To monitor Health and Personal Care Standards are maintained for residents.
- Responsible for ensuring that care provided to residents is timely, of high standards through accurate assessments, care planning and effective documentation.
- Responsible to coordinate and oversee that care as per care plans are carried out.
- Effective Incident Management and timely referrals
- Responsible for ensuring residents and/or their representatives are encouraged to be involved in residents' care and planning.
- Maintain effective communications with residents, families, staff and other stake holders.
- Responsible to coordinate and monitor effective documentation
- Manage the admission and discharge process.
- Complex clinical care
- Administer medications and monitor residents’ response to treatment as required
- Ensure that residents' rights are upheld and maintained as per the Statement of Rights
- Coordinate and monitor clinical observations are carried out and to ensure corrective actions are carried out by the Registered Nurses.
- Good understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and experience with Accreditation
- Involve in Continuous Improvement Plan and activities
Successful candidates will have:
- A current AHPRA registration
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing
- Demonstrated experience in Aged Care settings
- Able to maintain a safe and high standard of practice in accordance with company and State Government regulatory requirements and obligations
- Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
