Ho’s Dim Sim is a family-owned Sydney food manufacturer, handcrafting dim sum since 1984. Based in Marrickville, we produce dumplings, buns, spring rolls and yum cha favourites using traditional recipes and locally sourced Australian ingredients. Our products are supplied to leading restaurants, hotels and retailers across Australia. You will be joining a close-knit team that takes pride in what they make and respects one another.
About the Role
We are looking for a Pick Packer / Dispatch Assistant to join our dim sum production team in Marrickville. This is a hands-on role making dumplings, buns, wontons and other handcrafted dim sum products to specification. This role suits someone with genuine Chinese kitchen, yum cha or dim sum production experience who takes pride in their craft.
What You’ll Do
- Handmaking dim sum products including dumplings, buns and wontons to production specifications
- Preparing, portioning, folding and assembling products
- Following product recipes, specifications and quality standards
- Supporting general food preparation tasks as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workstation
- Completing daily cleaning and sanitation duties
- Adhering to food safety, hygiene and allergen control procedures
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Chinese kitchen, dim sum production, yum cha or food manufacturing environment
- Hands-on skill with hand-folded products including dumplings, buns, wontons or similar
- Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergen control, hygiene and WHS compliance
- Reliable, detail-oriented and able to maintain quality across high-volume production
- Comfortable lifting up to 10kg and standing for extended periods

Requirements
- Available Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays when required
- Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are advantageous, with basic English communication skills
- Valid right to work in Australia with work rights verified prior to commencement
