Heavy Rigid Truck Driver – Full Time
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Heavy Rigid Truck Driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Heavy Rigid (HR) truck to transport goods to customers and job sites.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance issues.
- Load and unload goods safely and assist with handling freight when required.
- Ensure loads are correctly secured and distributed to prevent damage during transport.
- Follow all road rules, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Check delivery paperwork and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain records of deliveries made.
- Inspect goods during loading and unloading and report any damage or discrepancies.
- Communicate with customers, dispatch staff, and the operations team regarding deliveries and schedules.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable.
- Follow fatigue management requirements and work safely at all times.
Requirements:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
