SOPREMA TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Location: Melbourne
Start Date: 1 July 2026
SOPREMA Australia is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to support the growth of our waterproofing and building envelope systems across the Australian market.
This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, project specification, and site support, and will report directly to the Regional Sales Director ANZ.
You will play a key role in supporting consultants, contractors, specifiers and Distribution.
The role is defined by the following main responsibilities and objectives.
Market / Sales Responsibilities
· Analysing Project intelligence and compiling list of prospective clients
· Acquiring and updating knowledge of competitors’ systems and services, and market trends
· Visiting regular and prospective key industry stakeholders and clients (including but not limited to builders, architects, consulting engineers, commercial and industrial property owners, government entities and councils) to establish and act on selling opportunities;
· Promote and enhance market awareness of SOPREMA systems to key industry stakeholders and clients through semi-flexible or accredited presentations (CPD);
· Assessing customers’ needs and specify the most appropriate SOPREMA systems while maximizing sales revenues and margins.
· Work closely with Distributors to ensure that specifications are maintained and converted into sales
· Coordinate and cooperate with all in-house departments to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance
· Be a key actor in the organisation of Soprema events which target builders, architects and any specifiers
· Continued maintenance and upgrading of product and technical database
The preferred candidate will ideally have:
- A degree in Architectural Technology
- Authorisation to live work in Australia (Australian national or valid work permit)
- A working knowledge of AutoCad, Adobe, InDesign and Powerpoint
- Previous Experience in the Construction & Contracting field
- An understanding of the Specification pipeline process
- An excellent command of English with solid writing skills
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- A knowledge of AI Tools to assist, specification and technical support for end customer
- A knowledge of AS4654, NCC, AS4858, AS3740, ASNZS1170, AS1530, AS420
- Confident communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
