We're supporting Mental Health and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs services in the surrounding Hospital and Health Services of Cape York, Torres Strait Northern Peninsula Area. Its primary objective is to ensure access to a comprehensive range of treatment and support services, clinical treatment, rehabilitation, disability support, as well as early intervention, and mental health prevention and promotion.
About your role:
Work Collaboratively with Indigenous Mental Health Workers to support first nations consumers.
Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high level clinical services; including triage, assessment, treatment and crisis management to children and young people with mental health concerns in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Apply professional judgement to complex cases, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes related to Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) triage, referrals and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of intake and referral services.
Provide high level clinical advice to other professionals including stakeholders regarding CYMHS activities.
