You are a law student or recent graduate who is keen to gain broad, practical experience and build a strong foundation for your legal career. You enjoy variety, take a proactive approach to your work, and are open to developing your skills across both metropolitan and regional practice settings.
While previous experience in a legal environment would be beneficial, you will:

ideally be in your penultimate or final year of your law degree;

have a genuine interest in developing as a generalist lawyer in a regional practice;

be proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to take on a range of tasks;

have strong organisational skills and attention to detail;

have a professional approach and clear communication style;

demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
The successful applicant will be committed to building their legal career in regional South Australia and will be either completing the final year of their law degree, completing GDLP/PLT, or have been recently admitted to practice.
You will have the opportunity to commence in the Adelaide office before transitioning to our Clare office, providing a unique opportunity to gain experience across both metropolitan and regional legal environment
Working closely with experienced practitioners, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, develop strong relationships, and build a solid foundation for your legal career.
In this role you will undertake a range of activities including:

assisting with drafting correspondence and other legal documents, including the preparation of estate planning documents, contracts and leases;

assist with general deceased estate administration;

conduct legal research;

attend client meetings and take accurate notes.
