THE ROLE
The Project Support Officer is responsible for administrative support and installation of new air conditioning technology within public high rise tower dwellings across Victoria's fourteen (14) precincts including project support of electrical infrastructure upgrades for the towers The precincts comprise 44 high rise towers which were constructed between 1960 and 1975 and comprise 6,660 units. The towers vary between 12 and 30 storeys in height and come in a variety of plan forms. 13 towers house older persons.
The role will require a candidate with the proficiency to support the project management team including contract management administration, providing project management support, and working independently on discrete project tasks that support delivery of project outcomes.
The Project Support Officer role involves a high degree of resource and stakeholder engagement to assist delivery of this demand-driven Program. The successful candidate will develop collaborative relationships with divisional officers, consultants, contractors, renters, external agencies, local government, and departmental staff. A high standard of project support is required to ensure timely delivery of projects, including robust, timely and accurate contract administration and reporting.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
- Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
- Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
