The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow to join a multidisciplinary team advancing physical activity and population health research through large-scale wearables-based epidemiology. Working within a collaborative, internationally connected environment, the role will focus on device-based physical activity, sitting and sleep data, particularly through the internationally recognised ProPASS consortium. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact publications, global collaborations and innovative research methods that shape the future of population health.
Working across national and international research initiatives, this position will lead epidemiological analyses of large-scale cohort datasets and contribute to the development of key research platforms. The role will support collaborative research programs through grant development, externally funded projects and partnerships with leading research organisations. It will also provide mentorship and supervision to junior researchers and higher degree research students.
We are seeking an experienced researcher with a PhD in epidemiology, public health, exercise science or a related field and a strong research track record. Success requires expertise in advanced epidemiological and statistical methods, experience with large cohort and wearables datasets, strong publications and contributions to competitive research funding. Experience in supervision and research leadership within multidisciplinary teams is also essential.
Join a collaborative research environment and apply your skills to support impactful physical activity and population health research outcomes—this is a great opportunity and we look forward to receiving your application.
Please state your preference for Research Fellow Level B or Senior Research Fellow Level C in your cover letter as the successful applicant will be appointed commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
