We are seeking an experienced Barista to join our team at Piccolo Me in Kings Park. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry and enjoys working with people. You will play a key role in our energetic team of food and beverage enthusiasts who are driven to provide excellent customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fun atmosphere where both customers and employees have great experiences that’s welcoming and engaging.
Barista responsibilities and duties:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages
- Good communication skills
- Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
- Promote Piccolo Me Loyalty program and App
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Adhere to recipe and presentation standards for food and beverage items -- coffees with latte art highly desirable
- Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance- opening and closing the cafe.
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Barista qualifications and skills.
- POS and cash handling; end of day financial management and reconciliation
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Right attitude – high energy levels, hardworking, reliable, honest, passionate, always welcoming and smiling to customers
- Ability to work as part of a positive and close knit team as well as thrive independently
- Passionate for customer service
- Well presented, strong communication and time management skills
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred in prepping and serving food orders
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Can speak English fluently and must be in Australia for at least 12 months
- Experienced and comfortable working busy shifts
