Mechanical Engineer – Industrial

What you’ll do
As a Mechanical Engineer in our Industrial team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.
Undertake detailed engineering design including preparing auditable calculations and computer models.
Plan, lead and oversee work, including preparation of design calculations, 3D models and construction drawings. Coach and mentor others to grow the technical capability of our team.
Design activities include engineering investigations and analysis, preparation of engineering deliverables including drawings, reports, mechanical equipment specifications and data sheets.
Visit client sites for facility and equipment inspections, project meetings, project scoping, installation and commissioning support.
Apply problem‑solving skills and creativity to develop high-value solutions.
Contribute to proposals, engineering estimates and capital cost estimates.
Apply Safe Design and Value Engineering principles in all daily activities.
What you’ll bring
Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications and be actively working towards RPEQ status.
Experience with bulk materials handling systems and equipment, including conveyors, chutes, reclaimers, and loading facilities, alongside knowledge of relevant mining and manufacturing standards.
Working knowledge of engineering software such as: Sidewinder, BeltAnalyst, Ansys Rocky, programming/scripting (Python, VBA, MATLAB), 3D modelling (Inventor or Fusion), Excel (advanced).
Experience in applying project principles and methodology to manage projects and achieve program outcomes.
Strong written communication skills to articulate technical decisions with due justification.
