Your key duties and responsibilities:
Communicate effectively, clearly and succinctly with a diverse client group, in a variety of settings, with legal accuracy and a practical, fit for purpose, customer focus.
Prioritise workload in accordance with client agreed timeframes and overall Legal Branch objectives, recognising that legal tasks may need to be completed urgently.
Engage in thought leadership and training for other members of the Legal Branch, HHSs and clients, including to share expertise and to update developments in law.
Mandatory requirements for the role
The essential requirements for this role are:
A Bachelor of Laws degree and admission, or eligibility for immediate admission, as a barrister, solicitor or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Minimum 3 years post admission experience, preferably in the practice area specified in the attached Schedule, noting successful applicants will be required to assist the workload of other streams from time to time.
Public sector corporate governance, risk and compliance experience will be favourably regarded.
