At Wesfarmers Health we strive to make health, beauty and wellness experiences simpler, more affordable and easier to access for all Australians.
Our portfolio includes well-known names like Priceline, as well as our MediAesthetics brands - Clear Skincare Clinics and SILK Laser Clinics. In the digital space, we’re proud to have SISU Health and InstantScripts—and most recently, we’ve launched our newest retail beauty stores, atomica.
About us:
What began in 1910 as a small co-operative of just three pharmacies has grown into Wesfarmers Health—a leading Australian organisation in health, beauty, and wellness.
Today, Wesfarmers Health proudly employs over 3,600 team members, all committed to delivering accessible, innovative, and trusted health and beauty services to Australians nationwide, across retail, medi-aesthetics, digital health, and wholesale and supply chain operations.
What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Supplier Strategy & Insights Analyst to join our Merchandise Central team. Reporting to the Supplier Strategy Manager, you’ll play a key role in enabling smarter supplier decisions across our Category teams by delivering high-quality insights, structured planning, and robust performance frameworks.
You will turn complex supplier, commercial and market data into clear, actionable insights that support negotiation, investment decisions and long-term supplier strategy. This is a hands-on, high-impact role working closely with Category Managers and cross-functional stakeholders across a dynamic retail and healthcare environment.
Key activities include:
- Design and maintain supplier performance dashboards, creating a single source of truth across sales, margin, cost price, rebates and investment contribution
- Deliver proactive analysis on risks, opportunities and emerging trends to enable faster, better decision making
- Lead the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process, including calendar management, scorecards, pre-read packs and performance tracking
- Build insight-led supplier negotiation packs combining internal performance, market data and trend analysis
- Support investment decisions through financial modelling
- Act as custodian of the cost price process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and visibility of CPI and negotiated impacts
- Manage supplier contracts, trading agreements and renewals in line with governance frameworks
Support supplier engagement, due diligence, and performance monitoring across the supplier portfolio
-
If you’re commercially curious, highly analytical and enjoy translating data into influence, this role offers the opportunity to shape supplier strategy and drive meaningful business outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in commercial analytics, category management, or merchandise buying in a retail or FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated involvement in Joint Business Planning cycles — calendar management, pre-read preparation, and performance review documentation.
- Strong commercial acumen — able to form a view on what data means for ranging, investment, and negotiation strategy, not just describe what the numbers show.
- Clear communicator with strong data visualisation and storytelling skills; comfortable in stakeholder management with senior leaders and category managers.
- Hands-on Power BI capability — must be able to design and build a supplier dashboard. BI tools: SAP/MicroStrategy advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Circana, shopper panel, or similar retail data platforms desirable.
- Understanding of retail franchise model implications
Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related discipline
