Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking two Maintenance Technicians to support the client's operation in Adelaide. The positions will work across a varied fleet of ground equipment used in airfield operations, including loaders, pushback tugs, standard and electric tugs, belt loaders, light vehicles and vans, utility equipment, tow bars, trailers, GPUs, compressors and small diesel engines.
The preferred combination is one Auto Electrician and one Heavy Diesel or Light Vehicle Mechanic. Client is open to technicians from any of these three trade backgrounds.
You will:
- Carry out mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within your trade discipline
- Maintain and troubleshoot ground support equipment and associated systems
- Work across a varied fleet of vehicles and mobile equipment
- Support safe and reliable equipment availability for airfield operations
- Apply practical fault-finding and maintenance skills to mechanical, electrical, diesel and associated systems where applicable

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:
Relevant hands-on experience in Auto Electrical, Heavy Diesel or Light Vehicle Mechanical work.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
Relevant trade qualification or background appropriate to the position. Auto Electrician certificate level is to be confirmed and candidates should be assessed on the qualification actually held.
Work Rights:
Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location / Availability:
Adelaide based. ASAP availability preferred. Monday-Friday day shift availability required.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be suitable to perform maintenance within their relevant trade discipline. No formal on-call arrangement applies, although occasional attendance outside normal hours may be requested during a significant operational emergency.
Skills:
Practical mechanical and/or electrical maintenance skills relevant to the candidate's trade background. Experience with mobile equipment, vehicles, diesel systems or hydraulics is beneficial.
Attitude:
Reliable, safety-focused and professional, with appropriate workplace behaviour and the ability to work effectively within a maintenance team.
