About the Role:
Working as part of a professional kitchen team, you'll be responsible for preparing and presenting quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, consistency and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard
- Assisting with food preparation and service during busy trading periods
- Maintaining food quality, presentation and portion control standards
- Following food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
- Assisting with stock rotation, storage and inventory control
- Supporting a positive and collaborative kitchen culture
- Contributing to the ongoing success and reputation of our food offering
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Strong technical cookery skills and food presentation standards
- Sound understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene requirements
- Knowledge of stock rotation, storage and waste minimisation practices
- Experience working in fast-paced hospitality venues
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
