Join a growing international traffic management group in a hands-on Fleet Coordinator role where you’ll own the day-to-day coordination of a busy light and heavy vehicle fleet. Based at our Yarraville depot, you’ll work closely with operations teams and suppliers to keep vehicles, equipment, and signage safe, compliant, and ready for work across Victoria.

About the role
Reporting to the VIC State Manager and working with the Group Fleet & Property Manager, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day management of our traffic control fleet, equipment, and signage assets. Our fleet includes utilities, light commercial vehicles, and medium and heavy trucks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating servicing, repairs, and maintenance schedules across the VIC fleet
- Maintaining accurate fleet records in Traffio, including registrations, licences, service history, and allocation
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment meet safety, compliance, and presentation standards at all times
- Managing fuel cards, toll tags, IVMS and related reporting so costs and usage are controlled
- Coordinating new vehicle arrivals and disposals, including fit-out, livery, and system updates
- Supporting depots with equipment, signage, stock control, and depot layout so frontline teams can operate efficiently
- Providing data and insights on fleet utilisation, downtime, costs, and emissions to support decision making
You’ll be based at Yarraville, with some travel to regional depots and suppliers as required. The role may occasionally involve after-hours support for breakdowns, incidents, and urgent fleet needs.

About you
You are a hands-on fleet professional who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems quickly, and keeping things moving. You’re organised, safety-conscious, and comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
You will bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in fleet coordination, fleet maintenance, or a similar role (ideally across 50+ vehicles)
- Experience in traffic management, construction, transport, logistics, or related industries
- Basic understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law, NHVR requirements, Chain of Responsibility, and fleet compliance
- Strong organisational skills, good attention to detail, and confidence working with systems, spreadsheets, and fleet data
- Ability to build effective working relationships with mechanics, suppliers, depot teams, and managers
- A proactive, “can do” approach and comfort working in a fast-paced operational environment
Highly regarded:
- Trade qualification in an automotive field (Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Body Builder)
- Hands-on experience with commercial and heavy vehicle repairs
- Open manual Heavy Vehicle licence (HR or above) and Construction Induction (White Card), or willingness to obtain within agreed timeframes
