The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Operations Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a highly visible position with end-to-end accountability for national sales forecasting, performance insights, and the strategic design of our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) sales models and store scorecards. Moving beyond traditional data crunching, you will act as a trusted strategic partner to state teams, eCommerce, and executive leadership—transforming complex datasets into clear, impactful narratives that drive critical business decisions.
What you’ll do
-
Sales Forecasting & Risk Management: Own the national Operations Sales Forecast, partnering deeply with State, Commercial, and eCommerce finance teams to align assumptions, deeply understand market dynamics, and surface critical Risks and Opportunities (R&O).
-
Performance Insights & Reporting: Deliver end-to-end month-end reporting and regular, proactive performance insights to analyse national and state-level trends in sales and Gross Profit (GP) that identify actionable operational opportunities.
-
Ad-Hoc Analysis & State Drivers: Spearhead ad-hoc insights and project-related deep dives into specific State performance drivers, collaborating closely with Commercial teams to diagnose variances and unlock localised growth levers.
-
AOP & Strategic Modeling: Lead the Sales, GP, and scorecard Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes, building dynamic, scenario-based financial models to guide state-level budgeting and strategic targets.
-
Executive Presentation Delivery: Drive the end-to-end creation of high-quality presentation outputs and frameworks (such as store scorecards and bi-annual STIP payouts) for final sign-off by the MD, CFO, and CEO.
-
Team Leadership & Innovation: Provide active guidance and coaching to a team of Business Analysts while spearheading process efficiencies via AI and automation, eliminating reporting duplication to maximise the team's capacity for high-value insight generation.
What you’ll bring
-
Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified finance professional with a strong background in commercial finance business partnering.
-
Stakeholder Management & Influence: Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor, with a track record of partnering with and influencing key stakeholders to drive meaningful business change.
-
Impactful Communication: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey financial insights clearly and command attention when delivering recommendations.
-
Leadership & Organisation: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, coupled with strong organisational, results-oriented, and deadline-driven management skills.
-
Agility & Change Management: Highly adaptable and agile, with a proven capacity to pivot, change course quickly, and thrive within fast-paced environments.
-
Commercial Drive & Value Creation: Enthusiastic and creative thinker passionate about understanding cost drivers, collaborating on fresh ideas, and identifying strategic opportunities for business improvement.
-
A Growth & Ownership Mindset: Natural curiosity and a strong sense of end-to-end ownership, with the agility to pivot in a fast-paced environment and a continuous improvement focus that constantly seeks to optimise processes and elevate team outputs.
What you’ll experience
-
Hybrid Flexibility: Blend in-office engagement with work-from-home opportunities for a balanced work week.
-
A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline – with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network.
-
