About the Role:
As a Retail Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Site Manager with the day to day operations of the site. You’ll lead by example, help guide the team and ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support and uplift your team by leading from the front, you help set the tone and bring the energy when it counts.
- Help create a safe, friendly, customer first environment that customers and team members enjoy being part of.
- Assist with kitchen/café operations, including food preparation, presentation, hygiene and service quality, stepping in where needed.
- Support day to day site operations, including stock control, fuel, cash handling and overall store presentation.
- Keep the site running smoothly, clean, organised and ready for busy periods.
- Use your judgement and initiative to support strong site performance and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and team to improve, refine and evolve the site, input and ideas are always encouraged.
About You:To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

- Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- This position involves manual handling duties, requiring the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 20kg and 16kg regularly, in accordance with safe work practices
- Set shifts from Sunday to Thursday, Working mid morning through until late afternoon with flexibility to work across the day if required.
- Adaptable and confident in using technology
