KPMG Australia’s Digital Forensics and Incident Response team includes a growing eDiscovery practice that supports clients facing complex legal, regulatory, and investigative matters.
Our team helps clients make sense of large and complex digital data sets by turning them into clear, defensible, and actionable insights. We work across the full eDiscovery lifecycle, supporting matters from data identification and collection through to processing, review, and production.
Using leading eDiscovery technologies such as RelativityOne and Nuix, we help organisations respond confidently to litigation, investigations, regulatory requests, and other high-stakes matters. Our work sits at the intersection of technology, risk, legal process, and client advisory.

Your Opportunity
We are seeking candidates at either Senior Consultant or Manager level to join our Forensic Technology team in Sydney, with a focus on eDiscovery and legal technology services.
In this role, you will work with a national team of specialists to deliver high-quality eDiscovery outcomes for clients across a range of industries and matter types. You will support clients through complex legal, regulatory, and investigative issues by helping them manage large volumes of digital information in a way that is structured, defensible, and practical.
Depending on your level, you will either:
- Take responsibility for delivering core workstreams and supporting end-to-end execution across eDiscovery matters, at Senior Consultant level.
- Lead engagements, manage client relationships, mentor junior team members, and contribute to practice growth, at Manager level.

Key Responsibilities
Core responsibilities across both levels
- Deliver eDiscovery services across the lifecycle, including data identification, collection, processing, review support, and production.
- Use industry-leading tools such as RelativityOne, Nuix, and similar platforms to manage and analyse large volumes of digital data.
- Design and execute defensible workflows aligned to legal, regulatory, and court requirements.
- Support clients on complex legal, regulatory, and investigative matters involving digital information.
- Work closely with legal teams, regulators, internal stakeholders, and broader KPMG teams to deliver practical solutions.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and client-ready outputs, including updates, reports, and matter deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with market trends, emerging technologies, and better practice approaches.
- Support capability development within the team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Additional responsibilities at Senior Consultant level
- Manage defined workstreams with a high degree of independence.
- Take ownership of day-to-day delivery tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
- Support engagement teams by applying hands-on technical capability across eDiscovery workflows.
- Contribute to high-quality delivery while continuing to build domain expertise and stakeholder confidence.
Additional responsibilities at Manager level
- Lead larger workstreams or end-to-end engagements, including planning, oversight, and quality assurance.
- Build and manage strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on eDiscovery strategy and delivery.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to junior team members.
- Support business development through proposals, client conversations, go-to-market activity, and identification of growth opportunities.
- Contribute to account development and broader practice capability building.
Experience
We welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds. You may come from consulting, law firms, legal technology, digital forensics, litigation support, or a corporate legal or investigations environment. Ideally, you will bring:
For both Senior Consultant and Manager
- Experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, digital evidence handling, or related data management roles.
- Hands-on experience delivering eDiscovery work across key stages of the EDRM lifecycle.
- Strong working knowledge of eDiscovery platforms such as RelativityOne, Nuix, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing or operating defensible workflows that meet legal, regulatory, or investigative requirements.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
Additional experience expected at Manager level
- Experience leading engagements or significant workstreams in eDiscovery or legal technology.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management and client relationship development.
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members.
- Exposure to business development, proposal support, or account growth activities.
