The Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and customer-focused part-time IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support while assisting with core IT operational and compliance activities. This role is responsible for managing support requests, maintaining endpoint health through patch management, and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding processes. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to delivering excellent service while ensuring IT standards and compliance requirements are met.
What You’ll Do
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, network, and user access issues.
- Manage and resolve daily IT support tickets within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex technical issues to CTO or external vendors when required.
- Perform routine device maintenance, operating system updates, and application installations.
- Coordinate and monitor endpoint patching and system update cycles to maintain security and compliance.
- Support user account administration, including password resets, permissions, and access management.
- Coordinate IT onboarding activities, including provisioning user accounts, hardware, software, and system access for new employees.
- Manage IT offboarding processes, ensuring timely removal of system access and recovery of company equipment.
- Maintain accurate IT asset records, documentation, and inventory.
- Assist with IT compliance activities, including policy adherence, security controls, and audit preparation.
- Document support procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes.
- Provide a high level of customer service and communicate technical information clearly to end users.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
- Understanding of Entra ID, user account management, and endpoint management tools (Intune).
- Experience supporting patch management and endpoint compliance is desirable.
- Familiarity with IT onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
- Experience using IT service management (ITSM) or ticketing systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with a willingness to assist users of varying technical abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Azure Cloud infrastructure experience advantageous.
