About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Entry-Level Shoe Maker to join our footwear production team.
No previous shoemaking experience is required, as full on-the-job training will be provided. You will learn different stages of the footwear production process, including material preparation, leather cutting, shoe assembly, sole bonding, quality checking and packing.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys practical work, pays attention to detail and is interested in learning footwear-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with different stages of footwear production
- Learn to cut and prepare leather and other materials
- Assist with shoe assembly, gluing and sole bonding
- Check finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Pack completed footwear
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Follow production procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Assist with other production tasks as required
About You
- No previous shoemaking experience required
- Willing to learn and develop new practical skills
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Comfortable with hands-on and repetitive work
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Experience in manufacturing, factory work, leatherwork or other hands-on production environments would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.
Pay: From $32.18 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 38.0 per week
