Our client is a well established, nationally represented and leading retailer and wholesaler of used or pre-owned luxury and prestige vehicles. They are seeking an experienced Vehicle Buyer able to source high quality stock for their QLD outlets. The organization offers security of tenure and an excellent income potential.
You will:
- Source, appraise, and purchase vehicles through wholesale networks, auctions, and dealer contacts
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with wholesalers, dealers, and trade partners
- Negotiate pricing and secure profitable purchases in line with market demand
- Accurately appraise and evaluate vehicles to ensure quality and value
- Work closely with sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth vehicle acquisition and delivery
- Stay across market trends, pricing shifts, and competitive activity
Applicants will need:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Buyer with a strong track record in wholesale vehicle sourcing
- Established network and relationships across wholesale, dealer, and trade channels
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a results-driven mindset
- In-depth knowledge of the used car market, including prestige, exotic, and commercial vehicles
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team
- A sharp eye for detail and strong commercial acumen
Salary will consist of a retainer of $53500 or $62500 + super for senior buyers. Commission will see a strong buyer approach or exceed $200k income.
